Wacky Wednesday Challenge!
Hello Hello! Its Wednesday! You know what that means. Today I have a weekly challenge for you. Its a combination or a “speed scrap” and a recipe challenge.
I used Sugarmoon’s kit Jelly Bean Buddies for my layout and the directions.
Once you have completed your layout feel free to post it in your gallery at With Love Studio and link it back here in the comments! I love to see your work! Don’t forget to register for the forums as well and check our the monthly challenges there!

Recipe Challenge To Inspire!
Hi Shanna here with a little challenge for you to help inspire your creativity. If you are anything like me when you are lacking inspiration you go look at galleries to help inspire you. Sometimes that doesn’t even work. Another great way to get inspired again is to look for challenges to help motivate your creative juices. That is exactly what I hope to do today is motivate and inspire you through a Recipe Challenge. This is the best kind of recipe to because it doesn’t require you to even cook…LOL! So below I’ve listed the recipe of everything you need to have in your layout, but you are able to mix it up however you’d like and even add more to make it your own. Let this inspire you and remember substitutions are sometimes better than what the original recipe calls for.
- 2 patterned papers – use one with a busy pattern and one with a more subdued pattern that looks ok to journal on
- 1 frame – use one that comes with the kit you are using or make your own
- 2 Greenery Elements – make one bigger than the other
- 6 flowers or other elements – you can repeat and use the same ones over and over just play with the sizes
- 2 tags
- 1 quote that fits your theme of your layout – remember quotes help inspire your layouts
And here is my completed layout using Sugar Moon’s “Traditions” mini kit she had on her Facebook page as a freebie a few months back. The font used is “Journal”.
I hope this helps to inspire you to create more layouts and remember you can always use the recipe over and over again and just mix it up to make each layout different.
Tuesday Treasure- Shamrock and Sunshine
Today I have a template for facebook for you! Saint Patrick’s day is such a fun little holiday! I remember growing up my grandpa dying his hair GREEN and telling us the leprechauns did it! I wish he was still around so my kids could share these memories!
Here is my layout made with the template! These are pictures of my Grandpa all ready for St. Patrick’s day!

Thankful Challenge
Happy Wednesday! This week I have a Word Challenge for you! I am going to give you a word and I want you to use it any way that you want in a layout or hybrid project. I myself made a hybrid project using Sugar Moon Designs kit Dinner at Grandma’s. I love the colors of this kit. They are soo pretty and match the fall colors in the picture I used!

FREE Halloween Treat Bag Toppers
The little boy my daughter babysits is three and he is IN LOVE with Halloween right now. It’s so great because he really makes you feel all the excitement and wonder of the season. Whenever we see a pumpkin, he looks at you sideways and says with a big smile, “It’s almost Halloweeeeen time!” His enthusiasm is contagious!
Do you celebrate Halloween? Will you be trick or treating or will you have a party, or both!? I adore Halloween parties and I usually try to have one every year – I enjoy making all the spooky themed treats, the games are fun, but mostly I love to see everyone in costumes – it’s so fun to see what’s in their imagination from year to year.
One of my favorite things to give for party favors is treat bags – it’s fun to load them up with homemade candy and treats, but I also include an apple, raisins, nuts, and you could even do a toothbrush and mini toothpaste or something! To make them more special I usually make a personalized treat bag topper for them. Every year I do a different design. Here is a photo from one of the years.
For those, I just used plain paper bags, filled them with goodies and stapled the treat bag toppers to them. On the outside I made “ghost pops” using tootsie roll pops covered with white paper towels. I fastened them around the neck with rubber bands, but you could use ribbons, or bread twistie ties or whatever you have laying around. I drew on two eyes and taped them underneath their spooky shrouds. It was simple, but fun and the kids loved them!
