Tuesday’s Treasures – Put the whee! in PINWHEELS!

I just LOVE pinwheels! It’s the little things in life right – you gotta find those and seize the JOY!

They make great Party Favors and they are easy and fun to make!

I love to make them and put them into my outside plants for some fun decoration!

Use these to decorate your lawn or string them together and hang them.

Fun With Crayons!

Hi its Missy with super fun and easy craft you can do with the kids- and get rid of the bucket of broken crayons you might have in your kid’s stash!  My friend Jen did this with her daughter last week and I just had to try it!

What you’ll need:

Crayons, preferably broken ones (new will work too!)

A muffin tin.  Mine is heart shaped, but any shape will do.

For the kiddos:

Step 1. Gather up all the broken crayons and remove the wrappers.

Step 2. Fill up the bottom of your muffin tin with the broken crayons.  Be sure to mix up the colors!

Now, its time for mom to take over:

Step 3. Heat your oven to about 23o F (110C).

Step 4. Bake your crayons for about 15-20 minutes.  The crayons should melt down and take the shape of your muffin pan.

Step 5. Allow to fully cool and pop out of the pan and Voila!  You now have adorable mutlicolored crayons to give as gifts or use at home.

Tuesday Treasure- Shamrock and Sunshine

Today I have a template for facebook for you! Saint Patrick’s day is such a fun little holiday! I remember growing up my grandpa dying his hair GREEN and telling us the leprechauns did it! I wish he was still around so my kids could share these memories!

Here is my layout made with the template! These are pictures of my Grandpa all ready for St. Patrick’s day!

I used Scrapping Artistry’s (Missy Bit and Sugar Moon Designs)  kit Shamrocks and Sunshine!

Tuesday Treasure-Stacked Papers

Happy Tuesday! I have a cute stacked paper for you using Missy Bit Designs Kit Chocolate Valentine. I love the combination of Pink and Brown in this kit!

I had alot of fun making up this stacked paper for you! I love this kit it is one of my favorites. It is also perfect for the upcoming holiday. You could use it to make cards, cupcake toppers among many other awesome things! I will also be using it in the future to make up some more awesome freebies for you!

Tuesday Treasure- Santa’s Sidekick Wordart

Happy Tuesday! Amber here with your weekly freebie! So today we have had our first real amount of snow! While I dread the cold that comes with it I am love how pretty it is. I hope we have a white Christmas! How many of you have had snow and where abouts are you?

I decided to make a word art freebie for you all today and I had a lot of fun doing it. I think I will use these when I make my Christmas cards. Yes… I am that far behind and don’t have them made yet lol. Do you have yours made up?

FREE Halloween Treat Bag Toppers

The little boy my daughter babysits is three and he is IN LOVE with Halloween right now. It’s so great because he really makes you feel all the excitement and wonder of the season. Whenever we see a pumpkin, he looks at you sideways and says with a big smile, “It’s almost Halloweeeeen time!”  His enthusiasm is contagious!

Do you celebrate Halloween? Will you be trick or treating or will you have a party, or both!? I adore Halloween parties and I usually try to have one every year – I enjoy making all the spooky themed treats, the games are fun, but mostly I love to see everyone in costumes – it’s so fun to see what’s in their imagination from year to year.

One of my favorite things to give for party favors is treat bags – it’s fun to load them up with homemade candy and treats, but I also include an apple, raisins, nuts, and you could even do a toothbrush and mini toothpaste or something! To make them more special I usually make a personalized treat bag topper for them. Every year I do a different design. Here is a photo from one of the years.

For those, I just used plain paper bags, filled them with goodies and stapled the treat bag toppers to them. On the outside I made “ghost pops” using tootsie roll pops covered with white paper towels. I fastened them around the neck with rubber bands, but you could use ribbons, or bread twistie ties or whatever you have laying around. I drew on two eyes and taped them underneath their spooky shrouds. It was simple, but fun and the kids loved them!
