Silly Sunday ~ Silly People
Happy Sunday Everyone! Christie here today with your Silly Sunday Post. Today I am posting some silly jokes I found online at Fropki.com.
Walmart
I was checking out at the local Walmart with just a few items and the lady behind me put her things on the belt close to mine. I picked up one of those ‘dividers’ that they keep by the cash register and placed it between our things so they wouldn’t get mixed.
After the girl had scanned all of my items, she picked up the ‘divider’, looking it all over for the bar code so she could scan it.
Not finding the bar code, she said to me, ‘Do you know how much this is?’
I said to her ‘I’ve changed my mind; I don’t think I’ll buy that today.’
She said ‘OK,’ and I paid her for the things and left.
She had no clue to what had just happened.
Young Driver
I recently saw a distraught young lady weeping beside her car. ‘Do you need some help?’ I asked.
She replied, ‘I knew I should have replaced the battery to this remote door unlocker. Now I can’t get into my car. Do you think they (pointing to a distant convenience store) would have a battery to fit this?’
‘Hmmm, I don’t know. Do you have an alarm, too?’ I asked.
‘No, just this remote thingy,’ she answered, handing it and the car keys to me. As I took the key and manually unlocked the door, I replied, ‘Why don’t you drive over there and check about the batteries. It’s a long walk….’
911 Call
A mother calls 911 very worried asking the dispatcher if she needs to take her kid to the emergency room, the kid had eaten ants. The dispatcher tells her to give the kid some Benadryl and he should be fine. Then the mother says, ‘I just gave him some ant killer……’
Dispatcher : ‘Rush him in to emergency!’
Life is tough. It’s even tougher if you’re stupid!!!!

Silly Sunday Post _ Maxine
Hi Everyone, Christie here today with your Silly Sunday Post. I just love Maxine’s Crabby Road Comics from Hallmark. They always seem to make me laugh. Here are few of the new ones for October.
Silly Sunday ~ Football
Hi Everyone, happy Sunday! Christie here with your Silly Sunday Post. Today I want to post about football. I love Fall and Football, my favorite time of year. Here are somethings I have found with surfing the web.
Football Marriage
One man to another, “My wife thinks I put football before marriage, even though we just celebrated our third season together.”
Empty Seat
A Denver Broncos fan was enjoying himself at the game in a packed Mile High Stadium, until he noticed an empty seat down in front. He went down and asked the guy next to it if he knew whose seat it was.
The guy said, “Yes, that’s my wife’s seat. We have never missed a game since the Craig Morton days, but now my wife is dead.”
The fan offered his sympathy and said it was really too bad that he couldn’t find some relative to give the ticket to and enjoy the game together.
“Oh no.” the guy said. “They’re all at the funeral.”
Animal Super Bowl
During the Super Bowl, there was another football game of note between the big animals and the little animals. The big animals were crushing little animals and at half-time, the coach made a passionate speech to rally the little animals.
At the start of the second half the big animals had the ball. The first play, the elephant got stopped for no gain. The second play, the rhino was stopped for no gain. On third down, the hippo was thrown for a 5 yard loss.
The defense huddled around the coach and he asked excitedly, “Who stopped the elephant?”
“I did,” said the centipede.
“Who stopped the rhino?”
“Uh, that was me too,” said the centipede.
“And how about the hippo? Who hit him for a 5 yard loss?”
“Well, that was me as well,” said the centipede.
“So where were you during the first half?” demanded the coach.
“Well,” said the centipede, “I was having my ankles taped.”
Silly Sunday ~Back to School
Hi Everyone, Christie here with your Silly Sunday Post for today. For most of us our children are either back in school already or about to head back to school on Tuesday. As for me I am excited and upset all at the same time. Being a stay at home mom is a real work out during the Summer. My kids have became bored over this last month and that lead to them fussing and fighting. While on Pinterest the other night I found this:
Yeah, that about sums it up.
Here are a couple more I found on Guy Sports.com
Holidays Are Over
The summer holiday was over and young Jack returned to Wicor school.
Only two days later his teacher phoned his mother to tell her that Jack was misbehaving.
‘Wait a minute,’ mother said. ‘I had Jack with me for six weeks and I never called you once when he misbehaved.

Summer Silly Sunday Post ~ Superhero Masks
Hello Everyone! Christie here today with your Summer Silly Sunday Post. Today we are going to make superhero masks. My boys went to VBS this past week and the theme was Jesus is the Original Superhero. So on the last day they got to dress up and wear super hero costumes. So I made these Superhero masks that I found on Pinterest.
Supplies:
- masks templates from Cutesy Crafts blog
- craft felt
- thread
- elastic
- heat n bond hem & iron or sewing machine
Directions:
- cut out your template
- cut out your design from the felt
- I don’t have a sewing machine so I used the heat n bond hem.
- Place all the pieces of the mask were they should go and cut pieces of the heat n bond hem in between the mask and the extra pieces.
- iron the mask to set the pieces
- measure the elastic to your child’s head
- sew the elastic to the mask
- then your child is ready to be a superhero
*note I did mine different from her’s because I don’t have a sewing machine.

Sunday Silly Summer Fun ~ Explore
Hello Everyone! Happy Sunday! Christie here with your Summer Fun post for today. Sometimes we get into a routine and forget to explore what natural beauties this world has to offer. Sometimes we don’t want to get out of our comfort zone, so today I challenge you to take your kids for a walk, to a ball game, or a road trip. This week we were suppose to go to our 1st MLB game. The boys got free tickets to a game for their grades at school. I was supper excited because I have never been to a Major League Baseball game before and was ready to get some cool photos to scrap with. Well we got there and a bad storm came in about 5 minutes before the game. The lighting was the largest I have ever seen in my life. So needless to say we didn’t stay. I was disappointed and so were the boys. Lucky for us this weekend was the World’s Longest Yardsale and my boys love to find a good deal. We hoped in the car the next day and rode all over looking for a great bargain. We found some neat things, ate some homemade ice cream and brownies, saw some great sites over the mountain and even found a castle being built. So go outside and explore, you never know what you might find.

Sunday Silly Summer Fun ~ Water Piñatas
Hello All! Christie here today with your Sunday Silly Summer Fun post for today. It has been terribly hot here this past week. We can’t spend a lot of time outside unless we play in the water. I found these water balloon piñatas on Pinterest. It was so much fun. The balloons are harder to pop than one would think. And if the kid hit the balloon at a good spot it would get us all wet.
Supplies:
- Regular Size Balloons (mine are fun shapes I found at the Dollar Tree Store)
- Bat or Stick
- Something to hang your Balloons from (we used a clothes line)
Directions:
- Fill up your balloons with water as big as you can
- Hang balloons from the clothes line or what ever you might have high enough so all the kids are able to hit them.
- Let the kids hit the balloons and make sure the others stand back so they don’t get hit with the bat

Sunday Silly Summer Fun ~ Squash the Sharks
Hello, Christie here with your Silly Summer Fun Post for today. I found a fun game to play with the kids in Disney Family Fun Magazine. If you have kids this is a must have magazine or luckily you can look all the articles up online too. So today we are going to play Squash the Sharks. So much fun, my kids laughed the entire time.
Supplies:
- party size balloons
- kiddie pool
- permanent markers (optional)
Directions:
- Fill up pool
- Blow up balloons
- Draw shark faces on balloons (optional) My kids didn’t want to wait for the faces, but if you have ones that will wait or want to help it is a fun part you can do with them while you wait on the pool to fill up.
- Now the fun begins, give each child a balloon and let them sit on it in the water. Child who squashes the most sharks wins.
Remember there will be a lot of slipping and sliding, so don’t put to many kids in the same pool. It is hard to squash those sharks, but it is loads of fun.
Frame used in my photos is from Missy’s Bits Garden Whimsy kit. You can purchase it at her store at My Memories.
