Bright!!

When I saw this month’s swatch for the Lovely Colors at With Love Studio, it instantly reminded me of Rainbow Brite.  Seeing the characters brings me back to my childhood Saturday mornings watching cartoons with my sisters.

So here is Bright- my little tribute to 1980′s nostalgia!  And the best part is, each pack is just $1 (along with the other Lovely Colors packs at WLS this week).

DIY: Valentine Cards

Hi, Shanna here with a fun challenge to you to make your own Valentine’s Day Cards.

First, you want to open a new canvas to work on in whatever program you use for your digital scrapbooking and make it 2 inches x 3 inches.

Second, find a scrapbook kit you want to use — you can use a kit that’s not a Valentine’s theme as well some of the elements in those make for some cute sayings for your card.

Third, start putting together a short of mini layout for your card and come up with some sort of greeting to add to it.

Fourth, finish up with some shadows and whatever else you want to complete your card.

Fifth, print it out and give to your Valentine!!

Hope you enjoyed this little challenge for some inspiration in getting those Valentine’s Day cards completed. This would also be fun to do with the kids, let them pick and choose what design they wanted.

Monday Meals

So in my house we eat a lot of chicken and my kids are picky on what they will and will not eat. I end up making alot of the same things over and over which is boring! And for a while I always ended up with dry chicken, which lets me honest.. stinks!

The other night I decided to try something new but really easy. My kids love cheese and I often keep shredded cheese in the house for different recipes.

I just took enough chicken tenderloins and put them in a pain with about a quarter inch of water in the bottom of my pain. I added some seasoning salt on the top and cooked it for about 20 minutes or until not pink in the middle any more. I then drain the water from the pan and top the chicken with cheese and bake about another 8 minutes until the cheese starts to turn brown. I also bake at 375 degrees

I don’t have pictures. *I really need to get better at that LOL* But my kids devoured this! And it was really juicy and moist!
