Thursday Tutorials – Text Wrapping

Hi, there all of you scrappers in blog world! This is Melissa T. with another Thursday Tutorial. I hope that all of you have enjoyed organizing your “Outside Content” and learning how to import it into your MyMemories Software. (I apologize to all who do not have the MyMemories Scrapbooking Software since that is what our tutorials will be explaining over the next month or so. I just started scrapbooking last October, so we are learning many things together. I hope that you are learning as much as I am!

This week, we will be discussing “Text Wrapping.” Sometimes, a picture seems plain or needs a little something extra to explain what is happening. This is when you will choose to “Journal.” Some kits offer journaling embellishments with lines, but you don’t need an embellishment to journal. A scrapbook is yours, so create it however you want to! I like to use the “Text” button to wrap my thoughts, song lyrics, poetry, or just a string of adjectives describing the picture. Sometimes, I even implement the “Text Wrap” to create a frame for the picture. This kills two bird with one stone.

Once again, Lisa J. has outdone herself with a lovely video and PDF for using the “Text Wrap” feature of your MyMemories Software. You will want to save this PDF along with last week’s in your Directions folder under your Outside Content folder on your computer or portable hard drive. This is heavy jargon coming from a rather computer illiterate woman, but I am learning and that is what counts!

Now that you have downloaded your PDF and watched the video by Lisa J., you are ready to test your text wrapping skills. I must admit that I have learned this skill the hard way and am still learning new, creative ways to implement the Text feature of the MyMemories Software. Below you will find two ways to wrap your text from pages that I have created from Missy’s Bits “Sweet Serenity” kit.

You can buy the complete kit at MyMemories when you purchase your software and download it directly into the program. If you buy the kit from Divine Digital, then you need to download and organize it as “Outside Content” for use with the MyMemories Software.
