FREE Halloween Treat Bag Toppers
The little boy my daughter babysits is three and he is IN LOVE with Halloween right now. It’s so great because he really makes you feel all the excitement and wonder of the season. Whenever we see a pumpkin, he looks at you sideways and says with a big smile, “It’s almost Halloweeeeen time!” His enthusiasm is contagious!
Do you celebrate Halloween? Will you be trick or treating or will you have a party, or both!? I adore Halloween parties and I usually try to have one every year – I enjoy making all the spooky themed treats, the games are fun, but mostly I love to see everyone in costumes – it’s so fun to see what’s in their imagination from year to year.
One of my favorite things to give for party favors is treat bags – it’s fun to load them up with homemade candy and treats, but I also include an apple, raisins, nuts, and you could even do a toothbrush and mini toothpaste or something! To make them more special I usually make a personalized treat bag topper for them. Every year I do a different design. Here is a photo from one of the years.

For those, I just used plain paper bags, filled them with goodies and stapled the treat bag toppers to them. On the outside I made “ghost pops” using tootsie roll pops covered with white paper towels. I fastened them around the neck with rubber bands, but you could use ribbons, or bread twistie ties or whatever you have laying around. I drew on two eyes and taped them underneath their spooky shrouds. It was simple, but fun and the kids loved them!
If you’d like to make some this year I have a template for you! All you have to do is grab the FREE template, decorate them and print them out to use! So fun and easy! Head over to With Love Studio and pick up the FREE template.

Summer-Time Fun Crowns–Tutorial
Today we have a great freebie for you!! Crowns!
What kid doesn’t love a party crown for their birthday, or maybe just a crown to be a prince or princess for the day. These crowns are a big hit with both the boys and the girls. You can even customize your crowns with pictures or ages by using MyMemories or Photoshop software.
Link has expired, thank you

Using MyMemories Software to Customize your Crown
- Download template file and install it into your software
- Using MyMemories Suite, choose Create Album From Designer Template and find your project
- Now you can add pictures, print and enjoy the provided template, or customize it with your own papers and embellishments.
TIP: You can right-click on the white guide and lock it in place to keep it from moving while you are working. Make sure this is the top layer of your project before printing. Instead of adding the paper as a background paper, you can add it as an embellishment so that you can move the paper around. This is especially useful when using papers with stripes or circles, so you can decide which part of the paper you want to use. Once it is added as an embellishment, you can now select the paper and move it into the position you want it.
Just SAVE and PRINT on cardstock!
Using Photoshop or another Software to Customize your Crown
- Download template file and install it into your software
- Open the PNG file that is in the templates.
- The transparent part of the PNG file is where you will layer your background papers behind and then layer elements on top of the background papers.
Save and Print you file!!
Now the fun part putting the crown together!!
Crown Tutorial
1. Print your Crown templates on cardstock and gather supplies. (Recommended supplies: craft knife, cutting mat, metal edged ruler, small scissors, stapler) — I used just cardstock, scissors and tape!

2. Using the craft knife and metal edged ruler cut along outside line. TIP: a small pair of scissors could be used as an alternative, especially when adding decorations to the top points of your crown

3. Align bottom edges and staple or tape (I used tape) together.

4. Repeat on other side to form a circle.

5. Wear and ENJOY! Here is a picture of our finished product using Missy’s Bits “Skylar’s Dream” Kit!
And here is a preview of some premade crowns made by our CT members Shanna and Amber.

The kits used to create these are:
