 Party Bags Tutorial

1. Print your Purse Card templates on cardstock and gather supplies.

Be sure to set your margins as close to 0 as possible.
(Recommended supplies: small craft scissors, bone folder, glue runner)

2. Using the scissors cut along inside of handles.

3. Fold bag at fold lines.
There should be a total of 6 folds.
TIP: Using a bone folder will help you get crisp edges on your project.

4. Using scissors, cut along outside edge.

5. Lay the bag flat, printed side down.
Fold up the tabs at the bottom of the bag, so that you can see the printing.
Apply Glue to the tabs on the printed side

7. Repeat on other side.

Summer-Time Fun Crowns–Tutorial

Today we have a great freebie for you!!  Crowns!
What kid doesn’t love a party crown for their birthday, or maybe just a crown to be a prince or princess for the day.  These crowns are a big hit with both the boys and the girls.  You can even customize your crowns with pictures or ages by using MyMemories or Photoshop software.

Link has expired, thank you

Birthday Crowns

Using MyMemories Software to Customize your Crown

  1. Download template file and install it into your software
  2. Using MyMemories Suite, choose Create Album From Designer Template and find your project
  3. Now you can add pictures, print and enjoy the provided template, or customize it with your own papers and embellishments.

TIP: You can right-click on the white guide and lock it in place to keep it from moving while you are working. Make sure this is the top layer of your project before printing. Instead of adding the paper as a background paper, you can add it as an embellishment so that you can move the paper around.  This is especially useful when using papers with stripes or circles, so you can decide which part of the paper you want to use. Once it is added as an embellishment, you can now select the paper and move it into the position you want it.

Just SAVE and PRINT on cardstock!

Using Photoshop or another Software to Customize your Crown

  1. Download template file and install it into your software
  2. Open the PNG file that is in the templates.
  3. The transparent part of the PNG file is where you will layer your background papers behind and then layer elements on top of the background papers.

Save and Print you file!!

Now the fun part putting the crown together!!

Crown Tutorial

1.  Print your Crown templates on cardstock and gather supplies.  (Recommended supplies: craft knife, cutting mat, metal edged ruler, small scissors, stapler) — I used just cardstock, scissors and tape!

2.  Using the craft knife and metal edged ruler cut along outside line. TIP: a small pair of scissors could be used as an alternative, especially when adding decorations to the top points of your crown

3.  Align bottom edges and staple or tape (I used tape) together.

4.  Repeat on other side to form a circle.

5.  Wear and ENJOY!

Friday’s Finds- making a bookmark

Happy Friday, Dawn here with Friday’s Finds.  This weeks My Memories Freebie is bookmarks.  Today,  I am going to share how to make a bookmark using the freebie design.

  1. Open MyMemories Suite software and choose your album size (I chose 8.5 x 11 for a printable project).
  2. Add the papers and elements you wish to use to create your own printable project (I made these Bookmarks), and when you are finished,
  3. click: SHARE ALBUM ====> EXPORT PAGES and save as a .jpg!

The new .jpg papers you created are now usable as stand alone printable projects to use and reuse anytime!  The Freebies enclosed are just samples of the printable projects you can make!  Just print, cut and use!

I used hard card stock to print out the bookmarks. I cut the bookmarks out using a paper cutter and cleaning up the edges using scissors. Using a hole puncher I was able to get place the hole needed for the ribbon.

I just added a little ribbon fringe, and voila!!  What better little “extra” goodie when giving a book?  These are perfect  gift.

The ink in my printer is low, here is another photo of one created by the my memories team.
